Botanical cyanotype on fabric: Starting with real botanicals I’ve harvested, dried, and pressed throughout the seasons, I create each cyanotype by hand, using sunlight and photographic chemicals, then developing it in a water bath. The plants act as natural UV shields, leaving their unique imprints on the fabric.

Each print is one-of-a-kind, shaped by factors like weather and the way the photosensitive solution is applied. These subtle variations add to the charm of this technique.

After the fabric dries, I carefully cut small pieces and shape them around beads, combining them with materials like wood, straw, amethyst, and gold or silver elements. Since each piece of fabric comes from a different spot on a larger cyanotype, every pair of earrings is unique—just like you!

  • A perfect match between cyanotype art and rattan.
  • This pair will allow you to be sober, elegant or casual as you desire, but it remains in the Bohemian style. This accessory will be a hit piece in your wardrobe.
  • Cyanotype on fabric. 100% handmade cyanotype earrings.
  • 1.4 inch straw rattan pendant and super light weight.
  • Please note since this pendant is woven rattan, each piece will be slightly different in appearance.
  • I do my best to make photographs as authentic as possible. However, depending on the light, the hues may appear slightly different from the original.
  • 925 silver earring and as always, lead and nickel free!
  • One of a kind.

Our jewelry is crafted using different materials including botanical cyanotype printed fabric, wood, straw, or pearls. Due to varying UV and weather conditions, each pair of cyanotype earrings is unique and one of a kind.

About Cyanotype

The cyanotype is a photographic process that produces a Prussian blue monochrome print. Developed in 1842, this technique utilizes a photosensitive solution that reacts to sunlight exposure. Plants act as UV shields, leaving their impressions on the paper.

Each cyanotype print is unique, as variations in weather conditions or the distribution of the photosensitive solution can affect the shades of blue and imperfections, adding to the charm of this artisanal printing technique.
