A Childhood Dream Come True
Growing up in a small village, my childhood was filled with the nurturing embrace of my grandmother. She had a green thumb, filling our home with vibrant flowers and lush plants. Influenced by her love for nature, I was naturally drawn to the beauty of flowers from a young age. As I grew older, I discovered my passion for painting and capturing the essence of nature through a digital camera.
However, despite my fervor, I faced resistance from my parents, who believed that pursuing art would not lead to a stable future. I followed their path instead, graduating with dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Law. For five years, I worked in international business development for high-tech companies, but a longing for creative fulfillment lingered in my heart. During this time, I continued to explore my passion for art, immersing myself in Japanese Ikebana and traditional Chinese flower arrangements, eventually teaching floral arranging.
Upon moving to Canada, I thought I could finally follow my heart while pursuing a Master’s degree, but I again found myself in the realm of business engineering, adhering to my parents’ expectations.
Deep in my heart, I knew something was missing. Life is too short, and we have only one chance to live authentically. After completing my Master’s, I made a pivotal decision: to follow my heart and pursue my childhood dream of art rather than settle for a conventional 9-to-6 job. That’s how The Blu Art was born—a realization of my lifelong aspiration.
As a nature lover, I have always been fascinated by the color blue for its peaceful and healing properties. I express this fascination by blending natural elements with the serene hue of cyanotype in my work. My art merges the minimalist beauty of floral arrangements with the ethereal quality of photography. My mission is to bring the inspiration and beauty of nature to people. Each cyanotype has an encouraging story behind it, reflecting the splendor of love, harmony, patience, strength, and resilience. Even in challenging times, we can adapt, survive, and thrive.
